Clarity Decision Matrix
Compare weighted choices and test your assumptions.
A weighted decision matrix with benefit and cost criteria, exact rankings and ties, transparent contributions, pairwise break-even weights and explicit scenario comparison.
What it does
- Normalize explicit criterion weights
- Handle higher-is-better and lower-is-better scores
- Rank alternatives with equal ranks for ties
- Inspect each criterion contribution
- Find pairwise break-even weight shares
- Compare up to four weight scenarios and download CSV
Try asking
“Compare A scores 80/40 and B scores 60/20; quality benefit weight 60, cost lower-is-better weight 40.”
“Rank vendors Red 90 and Blue 90 for quality weight 1.”
“Test a cost-heavy scenario with weights 20 and 80.”
Limitations
- Two to twenty alternatives and one to eight criteria
- Scores must be on a fixed zero-to-one-hundred scale, weights from zero to one thousand; at most three decimal places
- Does not retrieve facts, verify scores or determine user preferences
- Pairwise thresholds do not guarantee the overall winner changes
- Displayed values round to six decimals; exact integer comparisons determine ranks
